Harm Reduction Pop Art

Yet another #HRMAP series, this one with a Pop Art theme.  This will be the last #hrmap submission I make for a little while as I turn my attention back to some other projects.  Please enjoy the art and share it with others.

Harm Reduction: It’s not Pop Art!

This one was just pure fun.  I can’t think of a link between Pop Art and harm reduction  but visually it was just to nice an opportunity to bring the two concepts together.

Sterile equipment saves lives

Another couple of takes on the fact the the provision of sterile injecting equipment saves lives.  I’ll admit that the white, ‘Available Now’ post looks less pop art and more art deco.

One Use Only

Reusing disposable syringes increases the risk of accidental sharing, with the potential for transmission of blood borne viruses such as Hepatitis C.  The tips of the needle also become blunted with reuse.  As a consequence, when reused they tear the flesh rather than piercing cleanly, resulting not only in increased vein damage but also increased scarring.

Want to submit your own #hrmap project? Please do.  You can find out more about the project and how to submit an artwork here .
